- Transport, entertainment and shopping are averages for a whole trip. They are shown as one trip's worth and are not scaled to the number of nights you enter.
- Food per day is the trip average spread over every day in Japan, arrival and departure days included. Average nights are published to one decimal place, and the per-night and per-day values inherit that rounding.
- Survey year: 2025 (final figures). Prices in 2026 may differ. Leisure figures based on fewer than 500 respondents: United Kingdom (442), Canada (457), France (409), Germany (367), India (256), Italy (325), Russia (188), Singapore (449), Spain (404).
